In the tradition of community foundations everywhere, each year ACF awards millions of dollars in grants to nonprofit organizations that focus on children, youth and families, public education reform, community development and more. These areas, coupled with the many interests of our donors, directly impact the quality of life in our communities around the state.

Public Radio Stations

KJZZ-NPR (91.5 FM) and KBAQ-Classical (89.5 FM), have partnered with LEAVE A LEGACY Arizona for the past six years. Our Phoenix public radio stations reach an audience of close to 400,000 affluent, educated and influential citizens each week. As nonprofit radio stations, we rely on listener donations as our single largest source of income – and thus, we are able to deliver an engaged audience that is conditioned to give. Our listeners respond to appeals they hear over the air – both from our stations and from our nonprofit partners. KJZZ and KBAQ provide a 25 percent match for all nonprofit schedules and we partner with LEAVE A LEGACY to provide a low-cost opportunity with additional matching spots to promote the importance of planned giving and to spread the word about our nonprofit partners’ missions.

Eight, Arizona PBS is non-profit television station that enriches the lives of all Arizonans through quality programs and services that educate, inform, inspire and entertain. In partnership with Arizona State University, Eight serves as a trusted independent catalyst for community involvement.

Eight partners with other non-profit organizations promoting their messages through on-air TV Underwriting Credits, display ads in our monthly Eight Magazine, button ads on our web site and through our opt-in e-mail services; and also through the various events we have in the community.
